University of Texas Fashion Group to Attend New York Fashion Week
The University of Texas Fashion Group is headed to the Big Apple to get the fashion experience of a lifetime. Twenty four fashion-minded students will be taking on some big responsibilities while inside the Tents at Lincoln Center for the showing of the Spring/Summer 2013 Collections.
The group will be dressing models for the Lela Rose and the Timo Weiland shows and participating in the front of house duties for the Project Runway finale show.
While all the glamour of attending Fashion Week may sound “glam”, the group will be hard at work making sure all the models are buttoned, zipped, and shoes are secured on the models feet before she walks the catwalk. The front of house duties for the Project Runway show will include putting out any gift bags and information on each seat prior to the show, guiding guests to their seats and cleaning up after the show. And there won’t be much time for beauty rest…one call time for the group is to arrive at the venue at 5 am for an 11 am show! That means out the door by 4 am to hop on the subway.
The students return back to Austin on Monday and will have some great fashion stories to take back to their UT friends and families.
Students attending are:
Alicia Blount, Angeli Aguilera, Anh Nguyen, Anna Lawson, Batli Joselevitz, Brandon McDaniel, Briana Johnson, Christine Lew, Diana Aguirre, Elizabeth Allensworth, Ernesto Sierra, Harrison Koiwai, Jarie Maldonado, Jibran Siddiqui, Jonathan Ochart, Kaidon Ho, Kristi Schweigert, Monika Hazim, Natalie Poche, Nicole Lopez, Samantha McClendon, Stefant Phonthephasone, Tyler Neal, Zoe Patterson.
