Texas Style Council Announces 2013 Schedule

Texas Style Council

The Austin fashion scene is growing and thriving and one Austin blogger has made it easier to connect with industry pros those who blog, tweet, instagram and post to Facebook.  (Do we do anything else these days?) Indiana Adams of the popular Adored Austin blog has created the Texas Style Council. The TXSC is a social media conference specific to female bloggers, business owners and independent designers. Founded in 2010, TxSC’s goal is to promote networking, education, and friendship. TxSC has since grown into a 3-day summit with over 300 attendees, but continues to uphold its original purpose to act as a platform for women to form personal connections with their peers and role models.
The Texas Style Council (TxSC) is now registering for its 2013 Summer School: Back to Class social media conference in Austin, Texas Friday, August 2nd – Sunday, August 4th. Open to all women lifestyle bloggers, business owners, and independent designers, the conference will allow each student to learn how to better their blog or business and network with other classmates and professionals.
Now in its fourth year, TxSC is moving from a large panel format to many distinguished classes. You will be able to build your own class schedule of core courses in the BLOG SCHOOL, BUSINESS SCHOOL, or GEN ED and graduate with a specialized degree. In addition to classes, you can participate in a shopping field trip, clothing swap or prom blowout party.
TxSC is bringing together some of new media’s finest to share ideas on business, crafting, blogging, and design to give attendees a well rounded education. “There are a lot of facets that go into running a blog or a business,” says TxSC founder Indiana Adams. “This year will be all about learning the nuts and bolts from successful industry leaders and connecting with them in an intimate classroom setting.”
This semester, professors will include Elsie and Emma of the nationally known lifestyle blog A Beautiful Mess, plus stars from the blogs Kendi Everyday, Camille Styles, and Orchid Grey. You’ll also meet business mavens like Jessica of Noonday Collection and tastemakers like Moorea Seal.
