Texas Resale Brand Pavement Adds Austin Location

Launching a new or expanding a business is typically all about timing.  But never underestimate what a driven pandemic is bringing to businesses across America.  Not everyone is shut down, waiting it out, or have jumped ship.

While many fashion brands have been forced to pivot in several different directions to stay afloat, there is one category of clothing that has actually been experiencing an uptick in interest.   The vintage, thrift and resale category is growing and is expected to continue to exceed financial projections for years.  It’s a well-known fact that Austinites love their thrift finds.

Houston based, Pavement, will bring a vibrant mix of new and recycled clothing, shoes and accessories in the new South Lamar store and will welcome another dose of thrifty fashion excitement to our fashion city.

The vintage, thrift and resale category is growing and is expected to exceed financial projections for years.  It’s a well-known fact that Austinites love their thrift finds.

The store has 10,000 square-feet full of a curated collection of wearables for men and women in a gleaming, eclectic setting.  The store is currently buying curated items from your closet through August 12.  Pavement will host its grand opening weekend starting Friday, August 14, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

The store is known for its distinctive, wide selection of often hard-to-find items.  The Austin location is expected to bring the same thoughtful, spirited approach to local shoppers. “We’ve been working on this store for at least a year, and thrilled to finally open the doors and give Austin the most exciting, satisfying, surprising shopping experience of their lives,” said Avery Robinson, one of Austin’s managing partners along with Trent Sellers.

If you would like to sell some of your treasures during Pavement’s pre-opening buying period, the store is offering a special rate of 40% of the store’s retail price to customer-sellers versus the standard 35%. Or, you can opt for store credit at 50% of Pavement’s retail value of goods.

Pavement encourages sellers to bring in current, gently-worn clothing, shoes, and accessories. They also accept unique pieces and vintage clothing and all items should be freshly laundered.

More information on Pavement’s buying and selling policies is available on their website, or call the store at 512-551-3132.  The store address is 611 S. Lamar Boulevard.

Face masks are required inside the building along with recommended social distancing practices.
