Neiman Marcus Announces Spring 2016 Trends

You know it’s the Spring or Fall fashion season In Austin when Neiman Marcus announces their top trends to keep you fashionable for the coming months. It is always fun to attend the second floor event at the Austin Domain location where an always well-dressed crowd with wine in hand get to see what’s hot on the racks right now.
Jennifer Carnes, moderated the event and shared the trends as the models took to the runway wearing impeccably mixed designer apparel for Spring 2016 with jaw dropping finesse.
As I arrived I was welcomed by a familiar friend Venus Straun who sat next to me at the end of the runway. It was fun to whisper our likes and loves as the models came toward us. Sheridan Butler also came by for a quick hug, dressed on trend in a beautiful DVF dress with immaculate make up. Laura Craddick and Suzanne Erickson also sat on the front row and modeled the Dallas-based jewelry designer Deborah Gaspar’s collection.
One of the biggest trends for Spring from the Neiman’s event, and one that I reported on as well from NYFW, is white. Several looks were shown in white, or off white mixing textures and silhouettes. While this was not specifically a mentioned trend at the event, it was very clear this is a must have. One of my favorite looks was a Dolce & Gabbana belted jacket paired with a ballerina inspired skirt with Valentino pumps, all in off-white. Nothing says class act like white.

Wide-leg pants, long statement earrings, bare shoulders and denim will also be hot for Spring. One of my favorite looks was a simple denim jean paired with a fringed top and a white lace Trina Turk jacket. Finished off with a pair of Jimmy Choo red sandals. It was the perfect pop color to complete the look and it;s a great casual and polished look for an Austin girl on the go.
And speaking of lace, this is one trend that has been going strong for several seasons and is a must-have in your closet. From daywear to cocktail, lace will be your friend so keep it handy, cause there was no shortage of lace shown on the runways at NYFW for Fall 2016.
Happy shopping for your new Spring trends!
