You may not be old enough to remember this, but years ago you could have your colors done and find out what “season” you were.   I know all about that, because I used to do it.  You do appear, feel, and  look better in your best colors and in many cases it gives you the illusion of looking taller, skinnier and more youthful.  Just see how many compliments you get when you wear your favorite color!

At New York Fashion Week for Spring 2014, there was an abundance of black and white which was trending big for Fall.  At Carmen Marc Valvo, models wore black and white short bob wigs with their all black and white gowns and cocktail dresses.  Designers sent down opulent  black and white garments that were loaded with beads, floral appliques and tye-dye inspired prints.
DSC_0309We won’t get totally away from neutrals.   Michael Kors and Rachel Zoe sent down collections that were very similar to each other — very tailored, wearable, soft and pieces  you could wear years from now.  Spring’s Sand color was accented by creamy whites, rich greens navy and the collections were to die for.
To brighten things up for Spring 2014, you can sprinkle purples, aquamarines and yellow-greens into your outfits, which were most apparent in Nicole Miller’s fun line.  Designer Cesar Galindo said, “Color is the biggest influence in my work.  Whenever I don’t use it people think there is something wrong with me.”
Get ready for an explosion of color for Spring!  We were thrilled to bring this fashion news back to you from New York Fashion Week and the good news is you only have to wait a few more months to start shopping for your favorite Spring color.
