Austin Fashion Week Announces 2017 Style Setters Participants

As Fashion X Austin’s Austin Fashion Week goes into its 9th year, the event welcomes all-new Style Setters. Five individuals have influenced their community with both their personal style and dedication to local non-profits. A portion of the Runways & Gallery and Brunch “Style Setter” ticket proceeds will be donated to each honoree’s designated non-profit. 
Advocate Ana Ruelas supports a wide range of organizations including Ann Richard’s School for Girls, Ballet Austin, Boneshaker Project, Breakthrough Austin, and Seton Children’s Hospital. As Board Director for REACH, she helped provide books and support to children and mothers in shelters. She was also Board President for Latinitas and currently sits on the board of Austin Symphony, Con Mi Madre, and Texas Book Festival. Austin Fashion Week is proud to celebrate Ruelas’ inspiring work by donating a portion ofThursday, May 18 Runways & Gallery “Style Setter” ticket sales to Ballet Austin.

Cassie Lamere

Philanthropist Cassie LaMere devotes much of her personal and professional time to charitable causes including serving on the Board of Directors for the Center for Child Protection and Austin Child Guidance Center as well as chairing events this year for Ballet Austin, Texas Performing Arts, and the Voices for Children Giving Society. She currently serves as the Event Marketing Director for Lexus of Austin & Lakeway, helping the company raise $4.4 million dollars just last year for local charities.
AJ Bingham

Also being honored during Friday’s event is A.J. Bingham. His philanthropy includes service as board member for several organizations across Austin including Long Center for the Performing Arts, Trail of Lights Foundation, and the Young Men’s Business League of Austin. He is currently the Director of Government Affairs for the Real Estate Council of Austin, focusing on political and policy efforts. A portion of Friday, May 19 Runways & Gallery “Style Setter” tickets will be donated to Center for Child Protection and YMBL Austin Sunshine Camps on behalf of LaMere and Bingham, respectively.
 
 
Andra Liemandt

Philanthropic leader, keynote speaker and musician Andra Liemandt dedicates her time encouraging the Austin community to pursue their dreams and actively participates in committees including Dell Children’s Hospital, The SAFE Alliance, Strive2Thrive, and Texas Film Society. She has recently founded The Kindness Campaign and a curriculum to prevent bullying, which is now in 50 schools across Austin. Liemandt is also the drummer and founder of The Mrs., a band featured in Billboard, Buzzfeed, and People, with appearances on Good Morning America and The Queen Latifah Show. A portion of all Runways & Gallery “Style Setter” tickets for Saturday, May 20 will benefit The Kindness Campaign in an effort to continue spreading kindness.
Ava Late contributes to her community in various capacities and is currently the co-owner of Late European, which includes Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Aston Martin of Austin, Lotus of Austin, and Bentley of Austin. She has been a Media Spokesperson for 30+ years, fourteen of which were with BMW and MINI of Austin. Late is a Board Member of Alzheimer’s Texas, Ballet Austin, and Capital of Texas Alzheimer’s Association. She is on the Community Advisory Board for Helping Hand Home for Children as well as the UT Austin Development Board and is also the co-founder and chairman of the Darrell K.
