Austin Fashion Week Founder Matt Swinney addressing the crowd for the 10th season at KLRU studios

The 10th season of Austin Fashion Week/Fashion X Austin kicked off on Thursday, March 29, at LIVE!, a benefit for KLRU. Held at the iconic Studio 6A, the evening was full of fun and fashion.

Guests rode a freight elevator up to the venue, and inside, Haydn Vitera was rocking an electric violin, which was a unique and very Austin-y way to arrive at AFW!

After drinks and photographs, the show finally started…

ARIE X ALVIE collection by Leah Harris

NFL wife Leah Harris gave us her new Mommy & Me line, during which The Mrs., the first live musical guests of the evening, provided some amazing background music. All the real mothers and adorable kids wearing this line, called ARIE X AVIE, did an outstanding job, looking stylish and entertaining the crowd.

After a short intermission, fans saw the Austin debut of men’s suiting line Jhoanna Alba, and during this show, SaulPaul kept the crowd moving and grooving with his poetic music. This collection, ALBA, also was worn by real people who were happy to show off their dance moves and their fashionable looks.
