It was a pleasure to see the first collection for Fashion Week and have it feature the beautifully tailored coats and outerwear from the House of Mackage. The Canadian design team of Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan were childhood friends who had a flair for fashion at a young age. The family-owned House of Mackage joined the APP Group, a leader in the outerwear arena and you will see why this is collection of classic coats for men and women will appeal to those with a wide range of fashion tastes.
This was the debut of the design-duos women’s ready to wear collection. The soft draped tops and dresses did compliment the more structured outwear. Both had an edge without the “hard rocker” feel. The collection was cohesive and the colors were very in line with what we saw for the following 21 shows we attended. Lots of black, gray and the mustard color was a nice accent.
