Austin Fashion Week will be held August 14 – 21 and feature over 100 exciting fashion events!
Emerging talent and landmark designers will be paired with participating retail and salon locations for events throughout Austin. The week-long event will culminate with a spectacular night of glamour at the Austin Fashion Awards on August 21 where winners will be announced for the People’s Choice Awards, Critic’s Choice Awards and Peer Choice Awards.
Fashionably Austin’s coverage of the event will include designer profiles, live web casting of the kick-off party and Austin Fashion Awards as well as comprehensive coverage throughout the week of Austin Fashion Week events.

Kick Off Party: “Bright Lights, Idea City”

The Kick-off party for Austin Fashion Week will feature musical guest, 80s’ pop icon, TIFFANY and a fashion show by Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent and Robert Stock for Robert Graham. You’ll also be introduced to the Austin Fashion Week Creative Teams comprised of designers, photographers, hairstylists, makeup artists and models who will present their team’s creative collaboration.
You can attend the event by purchasing individual tickets, combination tickets for the Kick-off Party and Austin Fashion Week as well as VIP tickets that include some exciting benefits. Ticket holders will enjoy cocktails, culinary delights, and a silent auction benefiting Austin Involved and Dress for Success.

Austin Fashion Week events will be held at retail and salon locations throughout the week and will feature designers, photographers, hairstylists, makeup artists and models from Austin and throughout Texas.
Participants will be competing for the Austin Fashion Awards which will be announced on August 21 at the Austin Fashion Awards ceremony. Those attending the Fashion Week events will be invited to vote online for the People’s Choice Awards to be presented at the Austin Fashion Awards.

The Austin Fashion Awards will include three categories:
People’s Choice Awards: Open online voting by the public in categories such as “Best Retail Store,” “Best Overall Designer” and more.
Critic’s Choice Awards: Approximately 100 fashionable Austinites will vote on the Critic’s Choice panel. This group vote will for “Best Handbag Designer,” “Best Use of Light in Photography” and more.
Peer Choice Awards: AFW participants in each official category will be allowed to cast a vote for one of their peers in categories such as “Best Overall Fashion Photographer” and more.
