Visible Changes master stylist, Frankie Olivares collaborated with the manager of the Barton Creek location to plan their Austin Fashion Week event. Frankie began taking in different thoughts of how this would come to life, and while listening to modern tribal influenced music, it generated a deep thought of rags, and beautiful tribal features with interesting details. Cultural designs of dreads, clean frizz, pompadours and expressive tribal/egyptian make up as well.
“I feel that this “architexture” of style would introduce audiences to appreciate the diversity of different cultural expressions combined into one. What they do not know is the aestheticness of this …endeavor, I designed this “architexture” style by combining three styles to allow audiences to appreciate and control their own type of hair during these times of humidity.”
Makeup and designs were by Frankie Olivares, Stephanie Valverde, and Amber Rankin. The tribal theme clothes were feminine and with a little edginess and captured just the right amount of sexiness.
Stylists included, Highland Location: Kenya, Lauren, Ellie, Kate, Mandy, and Alida.
Barton Creek: Vicki, Brenna, Fideluisa, Laura, and Sylvester.
The jewelry designer was Beth McElhaney.

For Austin Fashion Week, (KAG) Keep Austin Gorgeous showcased styles from the fall collection of Feosh. Brizy Tait, owner, stylist and makeup artist at the salon also helped host a high heel contest. Model Jessa Peters walked away a winner for her fashionable footwear and won a $300 gift certificate.
Keep Austin Gorgeous has a romantic, modern “boudoir” feel and uses organic and all natural hair products. KAG also offers skin treatments and natural eyebrow shaping. They offer special services that allow clients to feel extra special and pampered!
Feosh, created by and named for designers Kelly Feole and Joyee Ghosh, was inspired by their love of Austin. Joyee’s background in architecture and Kelly’s interest in art therapy also influenced their collection. Currently, they are students at the Austin School of Fashion Design and created their Fall line specifically for Austin Fashion Week. Their fashions exude femininity and elegance with design aspects which feature pleats and a-line skirts.
Feosh designs were auctioned off at the Healthy and Gorgeous event along with Personal Adornments handmade jewelry by Beth McElhaney and a variety of other items. Austin Yarn Company with owner Cathie Hutchins was also on hand with unique, organic, felted wool handbags in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors.
Keep Austin Gorgeous, Feosh, and all the local designers at tonight’s event remind us that supporting local business is always fashionable.
