The final step for the University of Texas Design and Apparel students is to actually be judged by a tough panel to determine the winners in several fashion categories. The students faced the judges last week and Fashionably Austin was there to give you a little behind the scenes look.
The judging panel included, Gail Chovan from Blackmail, Designer Linda Asaf, Designer Jessica Ciarla, Keepers store owner Chuck Haidet. Awards will be handed out for the following:
Best Fashion Collection, Most Innovative Fashion Collection, Most Marketable Fashion Collection, Best Constructed Fashion Collection and Best Evening/Bridal Gown.
There will also be a pre-show exposition will include work from all aspects of the Textiles and Apparel Program including computer-aided design, retail merchandising, visual merchandising and a special exhibit from the Historical Textiles Collection.

The show is at the Frank Erwin Center, Thursday, April 29 at 8pm. There is a pre-exhibition at 7pm.
