We are so excited to announce a partnership with Chloe Dao for Nuo...our first sponsor for New York Fashion Week. Chloe’s stylish bags will help us carry all of our camera, video and laptop equipment while at the Tents at Bryant Park.

Chloe Dao is Project Runway winner Season 2 and not only designs fashionable travelwear for Nuo but also has a line of clothing that she sells on her website and in her Houston, TX store.

The Houston native has brought together function and “toteability” for all of your technology gadgets, laptop bags, totes, sleeves, backpacks, briefcases and more. Chloe is involved in all aspects of the design process from designing the prints to the where you’re going to store your stuff on the inside.

Get to know Chloe a little better. Below is the interview I did when she was in town at Parts and Labour…your local Chloe Dao for Nuo Austin headquarters!

For the fashion-mined Austinite the announcement of the Austin Fashion Week dates rank up there like naming the nominees for the Grammy’s. (ok maybe that’s a stretch…but certainly close) Block out the dates for the Second Annual 2010 Austin Fashion Week set for August 14-21st. Participating boutiques and salons will host events throughout the week.

There will be some changes (like any event…have to make it bigger and better) Something new, the first event on August 14 will feature presentations from various teams of local fashion talent. An Austin photographer, designer, hairstylist, makeup artist and model will combine efforts to create a “look”, then the photograph will be auctioned off at the opening event party. Launch 787 has created a non-profit foundation and proceeds will pool to that fund.

Fashionably Austin will be there, of course, so if you’re not able to attend, we’ll make sure you’ll feel like you did!
